Groundbreaking ceremony held in Legnickie Pole, Poland

Thomas Meier Bickel, CEO of Oetiker, helped to officially break ground on the new 80,700 square feet production and logistics site on a greenfield plot in Legnickie Pole, Poland.

The groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of construction for a new facility that will stand on an area of, in total, 13.3 acres. Scheduled to be operational by mid-2018, it will supply millions of high-end clamps and quick connectors to customers in the vehicle and manufacturing industries.

Thomas Meier Bickel thanked the region of Legickie Pole for its great cooperation: "We are grateful to have found an excellent location to build our presence in Eastern Europe. The new production center is in line with our strategy to be in close proximity to our customers. Poland already represents the second highest grossing country in revenues in Europe within the Oetiker Group. With this facility, we can continue to grow on pace with our customers based in the region."

The facility is conveniently located with close highway access and a well-developed logistics network. It is expected to bring approximately 75 new jobs to the area over the next five years.
